An Encinitas, CA, 92024 homeowner called our office and needed help with their swimming pool. They were having multiple problems with the pool equipment. The pool water was looking dingy and the pool heater was leaking. After scheduling a service call for the North San Diego property, our pool repair technician inspected the swimming pool and noticed diatomaceous earth and dirt returning to the pool. We took apart the FNS Plus 60 D.E. pool filter and after cleaning the grids noticed most were broken. To repair the pool filter we replaced all of the pool grids and installed a new stem o-ring and filter lid o-ring and put the filter back together.
After repairing the swimming pool filter we looked at the leaking header on the pool heater. The leak was part of the plumbing coming out of the heater so we replaced the cpvc nipple on the Laars Lite heater. We returned the next day after the plumbing repair had dried to recharge the filter with fresh D.E. and serviced the pool and attached spa. The pool service included vacuuming up debris from the pool and balancing the chemistry of the pool water.
